See you all in Wales. Im heading over on Friday morning can't be doing bank holiday traffic on a Friday night/ Saturday morning.
It means more riding and putting other peoples tents up ( I take no responsibility if they fall down )
See you on Friday / Saturday at the Dropoff

Hi folks. Was going to come down for a ride on Sunday but I think I'm going to pass this time around I'm afraid. Wifey is ill at the moment and I should really stay home with her this weekend. Plus, Brechfa and back in a day is some serious driving which I'm not sure I can face, it's been a long week. And I haven't had time to fix my stupid howling brakes! Next time...
Have fun!

News from Afan
Speedy Daz has sent a text to say the trails are the driest he has ever seen, the sun is shining and there are 4 other campers........I guess he hasn't seen the weather forecast or he wouldn't be sounding so cheery!

Fantastic weekend! Great trails and a great group of people.
Weather was horrendous on Saturday with horizontal rain and no sun in sight. Darren was not looking quite so cheery! There were suggestions of bailing (by the girls!) but everyone dragged another to the start of The Whites trail and off we went. Weather eased here and there but we got wet!
About 2 and a half hours later we were back in the drop off cafe hoping the shop sold all of the different types of brake pads we required for the next day. There were a few offs, mainly due to lack of adequate stopping equipment, but nothing too serious. The North Shore took another victim (Keith) as he was down to metal. and Danny did a bit of air running after abandoning ship to avoid a face plant.
Sunday morning was a different story......the sun was shining and bike repairs got under way. An hour and a half of faffing and we were off. Started off on the W2 and a great day of riding was had by all. A few small offs and one puncture later we were all safe and sound back at base for re-fueling.
The most dangerous part of the weekend was endured by 3 brave men who hit the town after dark......Keith, Adi and Danny! The award goes to them for coming back alive!
Looking forward to the next adventure........

Thoroughly enjoyable weekend Caroline! Thanks a lot for organising it, and letting 2 relative newbies like me and Adi come along.
Had a great time. Hopefully see you tommorrow if I can remember where and when your club night is???

Just wanted to add my thanks also Caroline for organising this trip, and to anyone else who helped out. I thought it was a really enjoyable weekend, and I even managed to get home without a scratch despite Dan insisting on dragging me out for a drink or two into carnage central
