Cyclone Scotland Trip 21st August - 29th August
Here is a bit more info on the Scotland trip happening in August to help encourage peeps to commit themselves to a week of excellent trails, comfortable accommodation and maybe some sunshine (can't promise that bit).
The plan is to start off from Innerleithen and do the Glentress & Innerleithen trails over 3 days on fresh legs (staying 4 nights) then moving down to the Dumfries & Galloway area to do 4 more trails (staying 4 nights).
I have booked accommodation in Innerleithen www.mountainbikeappartments.com. I am aiming for 12-14 people which will be split between the 2 apartments in the same building. There are 3 rooms for couples (that are taken) then 2 large rooms with 3 to 4 people sharing in each. There are lounges to chill out in and TV if you want to be unsociable!
There is secure lock up for all the bikes in the garden and washing facilities for bikes & people!
I am on the hunt for similar accommodation near the other trails and will let you know in due course what I find.
As for cost if I get 12 people the accommodation shouldn't be any more than £130 per person for the 8 nights, and if 14 then about £110. So a bit of a bargain!
To secure your place if you can let me have a deposit of £25 I shall take first come first served.
If you would like to join us on the trails but would prefer to book your own accommodation near by that is great. More the merrier!
If you have any questions if you haven't been before then just drop me an email or give me a call.
Hope to see you all up the woods on Sunday!

CANCELLED
Scotland trip is cancelled I'm afraid. Not enough takers in the end. Maybe another year! Plenty of other more local trips and events will be made I'm sure. The midges will have to feed on all the other tourists instead.

Re: Cyclone Scotland Trip 21st August - 29th August
Thanks for trying Caroline. I know how much work goes into trying to sort out a trip away.
If anyone has already booked the time from work, or is still up for a trip somewhere , maybe we can do something still...
doesn't have to be Scotland, doesn't have to be 8 days....
wanna let me know if the idea of doing something , somewhere is of interest ? gives me an idea of numbers ( 2 or more would be good lol ) and i'll take on organising something on a new thread.

Pinky and I are still unable to ride so we are not going to be able to do any trip at the moment.
Pinky's knee is starting to make a tiny bit of progress and my thumb is taking longer than my torn hamstring and broken collar bone took to heal.
