Newbie with a few questions
Hi,
I've been offered a new job in MK so will be relocating soon. Hopefully in the next couple of months. I live in Haverhill (near cambridge) now, where nothing ever happens. One of the reasons for the decision on taking the new job...anyway...enough waffle.
I've been wanting to join a group for a while and when i'm in the area would love to join you guys and get back on a bike.
So, the questions;
What kind of fitness level is needed?
I've got a Specialized hardrock, is it good enough for starting out on?
Thanks.
Hope to join you in the near future.
Graham.

Any! The club contains mixed abilities. The group goes back to the carpark at 11am and some people head off home. If you feel like your lungs are gonna burst you can do the same too!! The best way to improve your fitness is to ride with the club. There is plenty of stops to let people get their breath back but I'm sure you'll be fine.

More than adequate.
So we'll be seeing you soon.......................

Re: Newbie with a few questions
Yeah come along..
I lived in Cambridge before the delights of MK and find the biking is the best bit! The people are ace and make the club - I turned up on a happy shopper the first few times, Think GogMagog but sandier, forrestier and generally more exciting...

Welcome to the club pal we look forward to riding with you. I can only emphasise Fizzmo's points on the club-fitness is nothing, Cyclone is everything-obey the bike!!! We are a great club.
See you soon on the trails

Thanks.
Well thank you for making me feel so welcome! I'm a bit nervous about the move but really looking forward to it. Wish it was happening sooner. I want to get stuck in! Oh well, nevermind, hope to see you in a few months. Need to get the dust off the old bike now!
Thanks again.
Graham.

I'll take your odds Jim.
My legs are still crying from her dragging me around the West Drayton Classic yesterday.
