Newbie!
Hi!
New to the site and a mountain bike novice but keen to learn! Are there any other female riders in the club? I'm not sure I will keep up with the guys at first!
I have been attempting mountain biking for about 8 months, riding generally up the woods from Bow Brickhill but I don't know many trails yet! I have a hardtail Trek 69er.
Is there a ride where a novice can keep up! I can make Sunday the 23rd if its ok to pop along and see how I get along! I'm still getting used to clipless pedals so I occasionally provide entertainment with falling over - yesterday I chose some brambles to topple into!

Re: Newbie!
Don’t get too hung up about ability, the club has riders with various levels of ability. No one gets left behind.
Best thing is to turn up at 10am one Sunday. Quite a few people then leave at 11am and you can do the same if you’ve had enough by then, but guarantee you’ll be back.......................

Re: Newbie!
Oh thank god some else is just getting used to clipless pedals I think people just say there're really good cos they want a good laugh at some one trying them
You can laugh at me coming off and being ultra slow too if you're up on Sunday 23rd (hav'nt tried any off road stuff with them yet)
I came into the club a complete beginner (I still am) and didn't know any one either- so don't worry, every one is really friendly and really helpful

Re: Newbie!
Excellent, if there are other novices on the 23rd I'll make sure I'm there - I will aim for 10am!

Re: Newbie!
Excellent, another girlie.
We had another newbie girlie turn up on Sunday so come and join us and help get the girlie numbers up. There are about 4 or 5 regular girlies throughout the winter but plenty more in the summer.
I usually hold up the rear so you won't get left behind but we could get lost together, as although I've been riding up the woods for over a year now I can easily still get lost.
Hope to see you soon.
