I'm thinking of doing a course with Tony (Jedi) Doyle, mid week, mid December for £75 in Hertford. Anyone fancy joining me? A quick Google shows him to be one of the UKs leading trainers. If we get a group of 4 or more together we can do a private course for £85 (each).

What do you think?

Hi Alan,

I've read a lot of good reports about this guy on the Singletrack forum.

I'd be interested if we could get a few more of the guy's together for a private course.

I know he also does courses at Woburn, jump park apparently What a Face

I did a course with him about 18 months ago, round Woburn. Definitely worth the cash, we spent most of the day working on one section of downhill singletrack (leading into the jump park), working on drops, cornering, weight distribution etc. I wasn't massively interested in jumps so we didn't really spend much time on that. I'm definitely smoother, faster and safer as a result, and that's after having been MTBing for over 20 years.

Thats 3 of us, me (AlanS), Zebardy and Darren. A course for 3 is £100 each. If we can find one more person then a course for 4 is £85 each.

Remember the course has to be mid week! Im thinking of mid December, but if we dont book soon it may have to be January.

Any one else interested?

Ive just spoken to Tony, he has the 12th, 13th & 16th free and will try to hold these open for a few days.

Can you all let me know which days you CAN do, and your preferred date. I can do any of the 3 dates and would prefer Friday 16th, but dont really mind.

Also, Tony no longer uses Woburn so we will have to go to his place in Hertford, but I think it will be good to go somewhere thats been specially built for this.

Good to have you Raj. Thats 5 of us. I was told that if we are six or more of us Tony would bring along an assistant instructor.

If anyone else is thinking of coming, could you please let me know ASAP as i guess Tony will need a reasonable amount of notice to organise his assistant.

Gary - are you gonna join us? (sorry, dont know yr username or I'd PM you).

Oh boy, the Forrest Of Dean was SO boggy tonight, my poor mech.
But my 900 lumen lights from Deal Extreem were fantastic. And only £28 each (bars & lid).

Hi Gary, a bit of both, but Tony will want to check out our riding posture and style first and correct where we are going wrong. He wants to make sure we have the basice down and then move onto stuff like takeing jumps, drops in our stride rather than having to slow down and roll over them.

You thinking of joining us?

We're going to be cold guys, but its going to be great!

I live in Luton so I will go alone.

Tony emailed me today saying we are starting at 10. I suggested some of us might get there early for a bit of a ride around but he replied back advising not to as we would just be burning up energy that we will need on the day.

Im gonna aim to get there around 9:45 though.

A part of me wants it to snow Very Happy
