Anyone fancy a trip to Afan 26/27th April.

Hi - While we were at the pub last Tuesday I mentioned this idea to Gav and he suggested posting to see if there was any interest, I missed Afan last year and Whites level is calling, anyone fancy a trip on the Tuesday / Wed after Easter? Dave

Hi I've found a couple of places to stay, just checking on bike storage. Green Lantern was good last time I went but they have'nt come back yet. Good luck Jase hope all goes well, have you got the trailer yet so that you can still get out!!

Hi- those dates are the days that if you book 3 days off (Tue, Wed, Thur) due to bank holidays you get a very long brake around Easter. When are you thinking of in May? Dave

I sort of see, Friday 29th doesn't look like a holiday though? (looks like good Friday is the week before).

I'm tagging along with friends of freinds the last bank holiday in May. Think the idea is to camp though.

Have you thought about camping? Have camped at the centre below which is basic but the centre itself has great HUGE food in the cafe, bike shop, showers, toilets etc and you can ride straight to the trails.

Oh No it's not. Not officially recognised. Most companies are still working that day.

So as we only work till 1 on a Friday i'm going in. Not loosing a whole days hol for that.

yep it is going to be a bizzy week on the trail as evaryone will be riding

Can't make this one, but a couple of friends of mine are trying to convince me to go to Afan in Septemeber.

Out of interest, where do you stay when you go? Do you camp, rent a lodge, B&B and what about securing the bikes?

I've stayed at the Green Lantern, look at Port Talbot on the interweb and it will come up - about 10 mins by car to the trial centre, very secure bike storage and a pub on site with good grub.

It's a public bank holiday. But it's what's written in your contract of employment that matters -
