Re: Newnham Park NPS
The Newnham 60 is all about beating your personal goals and taking part. The route covers many areas of private land so you will be riding in places that are out of bounds for the rest of the year. Remember this event is almost entirely off road and you will be riding into areas where the conditions are very changeable so be prepared for everything.
The event will again start and finish at the mountain bike mecca that is Newnham Park with all parking, camping, showers, toilets etc being available, on site, only yards from the finish area. The entry fee is £25 for the 60km and £20 for the 30km which includes parking, camping, feed stations, showers, toilets and a cream tea at the finish. The fee covers site access and camping for everyone in your party, the site opens from midday Friday 25th. There are no categories and the minimum age for entry is 16 for the 60k and 12 for the short distance. Also on site Saturday 26th will be the final round of the British XC Series with Britain’s top racers in action and some overseas starts expected. We’re also planning some floodlit Cyclo-Cross for Saturday evening so it will be worth making a weekend of it.
Places are limited to 500 people. Entries may not be available on the day if the event is full. Closing date for entries Mon Sep 21.
