The 'roundhouse' in Woburn
The Cyclone nightowls discovered that the round house in the Woburn loop is now occupied and the land ownership is changing. Therefore, no-one is permitted to ride up the driveway. A no cycling sign is visible, albeit a very small sign at the driveway entrance. This had served as a memorable part of the ride and we have been asked by the owner to pass the word around.
Please respect the land and the owner's wishes. An alternative route is to enter the fields at the junction further down and to ride across the fields. Alas no more steps to ride down!
Thanks
Andy

Re: The 'roundhouse' in Woburn
Has anyone checked the legality of them stopping this as I think this is a bridleway or at least a public footpath, which you usually have to get special permission to stop people using a la Madonna

He did say that they were going to re-route the path down the outside of the fence...

Re: The 'roundhouse' in Woburn
Surely they can't prevent access until they have re-routed it?
It is a footpath though so the no cycling sign is valid.

Re: The 'roundhouse' in Woburn
But it may be the case that it's a public footpath but it has no official right of way and is only there by the grace of the landowner.

Re: The 'roundhouse' in Woburn
The Round House has been occupied for about 4 months. The right of way is a FOOTPATH, not a bridleway as you can see below. So no bikes allowed.
Its being re-routed straight on at th eop of the steps, and it comes round behind the old school.
