Urgent! Numbers for Brecon Beacons Trip 22-25 August

Hi Guys,

I have booked 14 places at the Castle Inn in Talgarth www.thecastleinn.co.uk near Brecon and some great ride locations. Steve the landlord is a knowledgeable keen rider and is happy to point us in the right direction.

If you are keen to attend this experience of a lifetime, please just simply reply-no deposits needed as yet. There is a bunkhouse for 6 and a room for 4, preferably for the ladies. Prices are £15 or £21pppn depending on where you will sleep.

Hey Andy,

We 'invested' in the maps from the national park office when Gav & I went there before Easter.

They give you a good idea of the routes across all of the Brecon Beacons, though you will need to take a proper OS map & compass too. (an A5 sheet for a 40k route is hard to read in detail).

The Castle inn at pengethffodd is close to parts of the Talgarth routes so you can miss out the lowland bits and avoid the metropoliss ofTalgarth!

A few important things:

The owner is only keen to let riders who are willing to stay for all three nights-Fri, Sat and Sun, otherwise he will want to sell to other riding clubs. You will need to bring a sleeping bag/duvet and pillowcases, or easier; pillows

There are camping options available on-site.

As I've reserved a four-bed room for the ladies-£21 pppn and the boyz are ruffin' it in the bunkhouse-£15 pppn.

All three nights is ok for me. Im planing to ride on the friday as Ive booked the day off work

We can go together if you want mate? I'd like to get there early to ride on Friday as well.

Danny would like to put his name down for the trip......I haven't told him he will be bunking in with snoring, midnight snackers though!
