Cyclone goes to Scotland again for 2008 - June 14th to 22nd
New for this year, day ride in Newcastleton and the Kielder Forest, more time in Glentress and Innerleithen. Plus some great rides at Dalbeattie, Ae, Mabie and Kirroughtree. This is a fabulous full week’s mountain biking, 8 rides in 7 days so make sure your fitness and your bike’s up to it.

For the first 5 days we will be staying at Barend near Dalbeattie in self catering log cabin accommodation. There is a Bar, restaurant and swimming pool on site and it’s only a short walk to the beach (if the weather is nice) Cost approx £65pp for the 5 nights
http://www.barendholidayvillage.co.uk/
For the second half of the week we will be staying at the Cross Keys in Peebles on a B&B basis at approx £66pp for the 3 nights
http://www.crosskeyspeebles.co.uk/index.htm
If you are interested in going on this Cyclone Epic adventure please email me (burke.g at tesco.net). Places are limited to 8 and are available to Cyclone members on a first come basis. I need to book to secure the accommodation soon.
If you have any questions please see Darren, Fizmo or Gav or of course ask on the forum.

Sorry Graham but too committed to do Scotland this year; but to everyone that are stalling "you will not ride anywhere better in the UK" - Scotland has also been voted `one of the Top Ten rides in the World` by Dirt magazine from the States. Wales is also in there at no.7 but Scotland is no.2 bettered only by N.Z...!

Accommodation is booked, We have log cabin No 52 this year as No 20 is up for sale, so a differnt view of the lake. Full details will be in my email this weekend.
There are just two places left now. If you are interested please let me know soon. It is unlikely that we will be going to Scotland in 2009.

Jason, would love to have you on the Scotland trip but please talk to either Little Gav or Fiz first. I would be more concerned about lack of experiance than fitness, the trails are graded red/black and are very different to the local woods.
Update:
The accommodation for the second half of this epic adventure will now be at the Bike Lodge, Innerleithen

Looks a nice place. I had to chose between mountain biking in Scotland or windsurfing in Egypt this year.
I got a really good deal for Egypt so its sun, wind and sand for me this year, now where did I put that suntan lotion
