Whats in store for Cyclone in 2008
Well...........lots of riding mainly.......more social events and some dirty road rides. So the future looks bright !
The Committee had a long and hard think about the agenda for 2008, and I think you'll agree (when you see it) we have chosen so NEW and classic venues. We have also decided to bin the Cafe Ride every month. Seeing as the routes are starting to get a little repetitive (as there isn't really that much variation over in Stockgrove). Instead we have thrown in a local ride (within 30 mins of Woburn) every other month.
These are basically rides that take around 2 - 3 hours, but take in bridleways / trails around the local area. These include:
1) Millbrook Loop - Starts from the normal place, takes in Steppingly, Millbrook Golf Course, and a trail back to the car park. Mostly off road.
2) Chicksands Loop - Starting in Clophill, up to Chicksands and back
3) Ashridge - Starting in Markyate and a loop to Ashridge and back with a cafe stop
4) Aston Hill / Wendover
The other venues and dates will be posted in the next few days.
The weekend away dates and venues will also be posted shortyl
Also, membership due in Feb !!

Think the longer rides every other month sound like a great idea. Will be nice to see some new places to ride that are potentially, right on my own doorstep

Have you included a visit to Cannock chase? , most of the trail has been closed over the winter and there are several NEW sections due to be opened around April.

Sorry Speedy but if I'm not allowed to go neither are you.
Shame but that's just the way it is.
We could arrange our very own boys weekend.

Count me in for the girlie weekend in April. Looks like most of my bank holiday weekends are sorted for the year. Hope Danny isn't planning to do anything else!!!

Definitely up for a week in Scotland but I can't do the first week of any month due to work commitments. So if any of the other 3 weeks are an option that would be great!
