Re: News?
Thanks for your concern Jim. As Andy said, I'll be fine just torn muscles, nothing long term, just no MTBing for a few weeks and no work tomorrow. Thanks again for checking me out on the trail.
See you all soon hopefully with a new bike (Commencal Meta 4) and helmet!

Re: News?
No way.......Dave is that you ?!?!
For a second I thought it was Madison Dave, but after Coedy I thought it can't be as he never falls off !
Only kidding Dave, swift recovery and all that.
How did it happen? Trying the double backs in the jump park again?
See you soon.

It's obviously down to the new tyres I put on just before Coedy. I wont say what they are, because I might get in trouble at work
I just went down a drop off that was higher than I thought and went over the bars landing my head. Fortunately my helmet took a lot of the force and consequently split, my lower back took the rest.

Re: News?
Body armour for the likes of Steve, that goes wothout saying.
Body armour for the likes of us, pottering round the woods, gay in the extreme.
However, having siad that, we all need a lid, and that is what saved me.

Re: News?
There is nothing wrong with wearing armour. All it takes is you to fall off and land on a sharp root/stump or as in my case hug a tree at high speed then you'll wish you had bought a set!!!
It's better to have it and not use it,than to need it and not have it!!!
I'm even considering buying a spine protector for when we go to Spain.

Re: News?
I'm to long in the tooth now,I've had enough injury's in my time to know that they hurt and it takes longer every time to get over them!
I wouldn't to take the piss too much out of people for wearing it,as Karma has a habbit of biting you in the arse.
I learnt this on Sunday, after Fizz pointed it out to me!!
