CLUB RIDE - SUNDAY 15 JULY

SINCE THE EVENTS CALENDAR NEEDS A BIT OF SPICING, ESPECIALLY WITH EVERYONES NEW BIKES I FELT A `FRESH` VENUE FOR THE 15th WOULD BE BETTER!!

MY PLAN IS TO RIDE IN THE DERBYSHIRE DALES IN AND AROUND EDALE, HOPE AND THE LADYBOWER RESERVOIR.

THIS PARTICULAR RIDE WOULD BE GRADED AS A "BLACK" / "RED" GRADING.

WE WILL TAKE A LUNCH BREAK AND DO A DOUBLE LOOP TAKING IN ROCK CLIMBS/DESCENTS, RIVER CROSSINGS AND TECHNICAL UP/DOWNHILL.

I WOULD SUGGEST WE MEET OUTSIDE/AT THE WOODBINE CAFE IN HOPE @ 10.A.M FOR A 11 O`CLOCK START!! HOPEFULLY WE MAY GET AWAY EARLIER.

Gav, how long do you think you guy will ride for. Funnily enough we are in a cottage with some freinds this weekend, near Carsington, nr Wirksworth. So we could possibly join up with you guys. We are doing a loop around the area on the Saturday and could be up for a ride on the Sunday also.

Not sure how much time you have but there are usually 2 or 3 opportunities to short-cut back to the start if time is running out for you. Would be good to see you if you can make it. Note the car park is about £4 but you can park on the road opposite for free if you get there early enough

Just to add what the others have said, you can cut the ride `short` but its not far from where you are and a fantastic ride!!

Thanks for a good ride to day Gav! It was great to see so many of you again, shame about the crap weather, rain rain and more rain But at least you got to ride the 'challenging trails' big climbs and rocky decents and visit the woodbine cafe afterwards The last bit of the ride that we missed would have been very muddy, you would not have seen the fantastic view from the top and not much fun, may be next time
