Club Trip to Coed Y Brenin 24-27 August
Hi Folks,
I'm keen to organise the club trip to codey. Just as a starter, could I register interest? It is over the bank holiday weekend, travel down fri night/sat morn, return Mon and planned accommodation is B&B, unless anyone wants to camp.
PS: To anyone thats been before, ant reccomended guest houses/B&Bs and addresses would be good ta.
Cheers

Katharine and I are all booked up.(see below) The bloke said that he has room for between 10 and 12 more people although it will have to be booked pretty soon if people are interested.
The place looks good, being right next to the new visitor centre where all the trails start. There is also a variety of accomodation (and prices) from camping, a camping barn to a B&B.

Re: Club Trip to Coed Y Brenin 24-27 August
I have provisionally booked 7 spaces at Cae Gwyn Farm as that's all they have left.
So far those interested are:
Andy
Mike
Laura
Mark D
Iain and his wife have already booked to go here as well
The reason I havn't waited is because of popularity-guest houses and B+Bs are getting booked up quickly. I will send an email around but its looking like people may have to book their own accommodation if we don't act now.

Andy have you booked the camping barn or B&B ?
If its B&B ill share with one of the ladies as they all seem to be double beds and I dont fancy sharing it with any of you smelly guys!
How much deposit do you need?
p.s. with a group of us the camping barn may be the better option if its available.

Re: Club Trip to Coed Y Brenin 24-27 August
As of today 9th May, there are 6 spaces left. Please ring Cae Gwyn and book up. Yuki, the owner, will organise who goes where.
After that, it will be a simple case of finding another B+B. If you contact Yuki, she can give you info of others nearby.

Further to that, the provisional booking I made was only verbal, so please ring up, mention me, book and Yuki will understand.

Re: Club Trip to Coed Y Brenin 24-27 August
Me thinks some confusion has arisen! Although Andy has provisionaly booked places they have not been paid for, and this needs to be sorted asap if people want to stay there.
Laura, rather than giving the money to Andy, you'll have to phone the place and pay over the phone. www.caegwynfarm.co.uk
Dependig on whether you want your own room, it may be an option to share a room with others or there are other types of accomodation - camping etc....
A suggestion maybe for everyone to look at the place on the internet (see if they want to stay there!) and then discuss different accomodation options this weekend before booking.
The place and the food does look good and it is slap bang next to the start of all the trails!

Re: Club Trip to Coed Y Brenin 24-27 August
Do you prefer a cooked breakfast? The café Bwydy Brenin at Coed-y-Brenin visitor centre
(1 mile south) offers traditional cooked breakfast and more at reasonable price
I always thought B&B ment a "proper" cooked breakie
Re: Club Trip to Coed Y Brenin 24-27 August
If you stay at the Cae Gwyn, it is £25 a night including breakfast. I need a cute young man to saty with me in my room. I'm picky no hairy beasts!

The question is what lube? Wet epic lube or Dry Teflon lube
