Re: wheel size
That video said it all!
Big wheels roll better - obsticules are effectively smaller, therefore you can get away with less suspension.
And the amount of tyre which is in contact with the ground is more.
That bike he's on is the same as mine and I can tell you, it flies!

Re: wheel size
Yeah, that is true, the taller then better, and not recommended if below 5'5". Also, bigger wheels tend to need wider handlebars. But at the end of the day, the best thing is to ride a few...

Re: wheel size
i think it really is best to try out whats about....as its called "29 Week" I guess the purpose is to promote 29ers and get more revenue from their advertisers (or am i just cynical?)
I think the less is more comes from greater wheel area to roll over things easier - just like on 4x4 SUVs and those who go for oversize wheels to aid with off roading. It should also be noted that by increasing wheel size you are also in effect 'gearing up' i.e keeping with the car analogy 1st gear is now 2nd or 3rd and starting off will be trickier.
however, if you do go the 29 route I would love to give it a try and compare!
