Night Rides

Hello

Can anyone give me information about any scheduled night rides please?

I would like to try but not sure where the club meets up and what I need in terms of lighting, ie front, rear, helmet etc.

Hi yep same as ran,however I have lights...exposure..

So would I get away with just a front light?

Is there a nightride planned this Tuesday?

Hi Raj,

You can get away with just a front light on your handle bars, however the general rule is the more light you have the easier and faster you can ride. A light on your helmet helps to illuminate where you are looking (e.g. around the corner you are about to ride around). 2 sources of light also helps to give better definition and helps to remove some of the big shadows. I will be riding in the woods this evening meeting at the usual car park at 19:30.

Hi,

I'm afraid I can't make this Thursday. However I'm hoping to make it out again next Tuesday. Trying to persuade a few others as well. Current plan is to meet up the woods for 19:30 for ~1 hours ride before heading over to the George for club night. With the weather this week there may be others that can have their arm twisted into riding on Thursday. Unfortunately commuting to London means I'm a hostage to the trains (injury also hasn't helped), tho hopefully I can make Tuesday night riding a semi regular thing again.

Is this tuesdays ride on still? Any others interested?

I will be riding regularly every Tuesday and Thursday from 1930. If anyone else is going out those days, please let me know and we can ride together.

Verbal. I am really sorry. Family commitment means I can't do it tonight. I hope someone else is up for it. I am definitely on as from next Tuesday. I've not ridden at night before so I am not keen to do my first one on my own, so hope you are free next Tuesday or Thursday.
