Stokenchurch 50km Loop (version 2)
Who's up for another Chilterns ride soon? I was thinking Saturday 21st May? Club members only..
It's about 30 miles, but with some tough climbs and is a classic XC route in the Chiltern hills and lies between Stokenchurch and Henley on Thames.
It has a lovely mix of singletrack, doubletrack, bridleways with long decents, sharp climbs and a lovely pub stop for lunch at the 'The Lamb' at Satwell.
Si kindly organised a similar ride last year, but then couldn't make it due to injury so Mark & Phil kindly stepped in and led the ride instead.
Duration- 4-6 hours of riding (we did it in just over 3,but we were keen ).
Start / Finish :
arrive 0945 for 1000 start at Cowleaze Wood carpark nr Stokenchurch
Cowleaze Wood Car Park
I think I could lead this one and find my way round using my Garmin, from the recorded route last time but if anyone who has done the route before could come along too, it would be appreciated.
Quite a few others were interested last time, so let's see what we can do this time round.

Hey Kurt,
Good idea. We are also riding Stokenchurch on the 26th of June. Check out the long awaited updated diary.
If you are still happy arranging your trip I'll add it to the diary.
The more the merrier.

Glad you can make it Jim
Yeah, come on Dave & Neil, you'll enjoy it. Especially the pub lunch, where you can get the best roast beef sandwich this side of Alberto Contador's home town.

Guy's, would love to come along but i am working that day and have just double checked, and can't get the day off due to a skeleton staff that day. Hoping to make this trip on 26/6. I'll make sure Dave knows about it. Have a good ride!

Hi Kurt Sorry for delay in getting back to you. Im really tempted between this and the Peaks the next day but Stokenchurch wins, I could give a lift down from Stony if anyone needs a lift.
