Riding at Aspley Heath 3rd Jan?
Hello all...
Sorry, have not been riding with Cyclone for a long time (work commitments and moving house).
I was planning on riding on Monday Jan 3rd, if anyone is interested. My first ride for 6 months!
What is the current situation regarding mountain bike access to Aspley Heath? I saw a previous post from Woody saying that access has been negotiated up to 31st Dec 2010. What's happening now in 2011? Are we allowed to ride there?
See you at the first club night in 2011 hopefully, Ben

Re: Riding at Aspley Heath 3rd Jan?
Was up there Weds and Thurs and there are signs up everywhere saying something to the effect of a new agreement being formed to secure access to the woods, along with prices for day passes, annual passes, family passes etc. There's also evidence that they've been starting to tidy things up a bit - some new gates and bits of fence here and there.
So no issue as far as we're concerned I wouldn't have thought. Although an annual cycling pass is listed as £28 so I'm not sure how that might affect club membership prices.
I can't make tomorrow's Sunday ride but might venture out Monday morning depending on the weather and other plans etc.

Yeah - I'd probably be up for it, depending on what state my bike is in when I get home! What time were people thinking?
