Greetings from Newbie member ....
Hi folks, mate and myself are giving Epping forest a miss and trying out Woburn Sand tomorrow AM - M1 allowing if not closed due to the snow.
Anyone around for a few hours ride?
I last visited in March '09, Nathan show us around.

Re: Greetings from Newbie member ....
Hello Ade
Wish I could, but have to work
A number of us met up yesterday and had a great time. It's very pleasant going up there at the moment. Suprisingly grippy and you probably won't even get your bike dirty
Just follow the tyre tracks. There are plenty of them.

Re: Greetings from Newbie member ....
Hi Ade,
welcome to the forum! With the current weather, there should be plenty of snow to play with in woods tomorrow . Unfortunately I should be at work tomorrow :S, but there is bound to be someone adventurous heading up there with the day off! The club still meets in the woods every Sunday and you are more than welcome if you want to come along. Nathan is now off sunning himself in LA, but often pops up on this forum from time to time (perhaps we should go out there and join him riding the Californian trails).

Re: Greetings from Newbie member ....
Never did make it down to Woburn due to bad weather - snow and traffic conditions etc
I managed a MTB ride in Epping Forest but left after 1 hour as trails was covered in slush, mud and fallen trees - Not a good combination on a single track
Are you planning a post Xmas / boxing day group ride this Sunday please?

Re: Greetings from Newbie member ....
Hey Ade, glad to have you onboard......whatas all that white stuff falling from the skies over there....all looks a little confusing.....
Malibu was OK yesterday......
Seriously though, I managed to come off the bike last Saturday and land on a rather sharp stick.....am now the owner of a 2" deep hole in my leg that is too deep to stitch !
This is 2ft of sterile strip that they managed to pack in the hole......
Knee pads from Santa me thinks !!!

Hi Nath,
I think I'm glad my pc did not let me see the photo's, I really don't want to see a photo of Malibu.
Ouch!! Hope you mend soon.
Happy Christmas and New Year.
Are you hosting a club trip next year?
