PEAK DISTRICT WEERKEND. 14/15 March

The Peak District weekend will be divided into 2.
Sat - Road
Sun - Offroad


For those of you that wish to do the whole w/e I can arrange accommodation.

There are a lot of Club members that are taking part in UCI Cheshire Cat road sportive so Saturday 14 March will be a road training ride for those who would like to ride some of the course and experience what may lie ahead. I am proposing to meet near to the Cat & Fiddle P/H on the Macclesfield to Buxton road although fuller details will be available Club Night Tues 2 March.

I am intending to do a route not exceeding the smaller of the C.C routes of 66 miles. The intention is to do a few of the major climbs of the course as well as examining some of the Peaks and district area!

There will be a cafe stop en-route. The start time will be at 10 am.

More details will be posted on the forum a week beforehand.




On Sunday 15 March I am proposing to do one of 2 rides both of which can start from the same area. Not widely ridden we shall tackle the Dark Peaks which will mean riding close to Buxton and the surrounding area. The route will be half of that from the day previous, appx 30 -35 miles. The route will include forestry, fire road, water crossings and rocks so should hold lots of variety.!

Start time will be 10am

Again, more details will be available appx a week beforehand!
