You won't get any better than at that price point and they always get good reviews in the mags/online.

WMB reviewed them in May 2006.

Verdict was:

Simple, squelchy but reliable and robust. Superb for the money.

Perf = 7
Value = 10

Err I got those Marzocchi forks, just need a bit of advice on fitting it. I think I'll need to cut it to length to fit my bike

My advice is pay a shop Very Happy

Recently fitted my Pace ones and had to get a shop to fit the crown race. (cost £5 and done while I waited, took about 30 secs).

I then set about cutting the steerer with a hacksaw and thought I'd done a good job.

Then couldn't install the star fangled nut so went back to the shop to get them to do it. (cost £5 and done while I waited, took about 1 minute). They commented on my cutting skills and said they'd have done a much better job with their cutting tool!

So I wish I'd just got them to fit the race, install the nut and cut the steerer for me.

My 2 pennies worth.

Hmmm........I changed my Rebas from my 29er and stuck in the Pace ones.

I must admit it was tricky tapping the bottom race of the headset off, you just need to get massive with a punch and hammer. But loads of tiny taps.

Am 'sposed to be changing iains for him tomorrow!!

That sounds like your volunteering for the job. Spoke to Corleys and they'll do it for £10-£15 quid which sounds like a bargain, especially as I'd really like to take my hardtail to the Beer wobble.

IIRC Nath you didn't need to cut your pace ones did you?

How'd you get that star nut in Nath? I lost my temper with mine!!!

Personally, for £10-15 I'd let Corleys do it.

Yeah the star nut was tricky, but I used an extended length socket that was basically slightly smaller than 1 1/8th" and drifted it in with that.

Yes also had to cut them. But the Navy Apprenticeship comes in handy sometimes!!

Just realised Iain bought the blingy bling Titanium ones, so would of been then for a while cutting the steerer!!
