WEEKEND RIDE - PEAKS Sunday 19 October **RIDE DETAILS**

Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay!

Ride details are as follows:

Meeting place: Ladybower Resevoir - Peak District National Park car park. There is a fee for parking (appx £1) but we can get some food there after the ride.

Location: Signposted from A6103.

Start time: 10.am (although this may be 10.30!)

Ride: Loop to Hope/Edale for lunch stop (or larger loop to return to Ladybower)
Ride time: 4 - 6 hrs.

Ride details: The loop I am intending to use will be fairly testing although I feel we will miss Mam Tor & Jacobs Ladder due to the severity. However, the loop we shall do will still be challenging but very enjoyable for all abilities.
I will not divide into different groups so the ride will cater for all. It is neither a race or a test of your own abilities...All are welcome!

i think the car park is on the a6013 if you hit the a57 you gone 2 far

i wos going 2 the 1 on the a6013 i think ill be at 1 car park and the rest at a another

if any 1 got his number call him and find out please

Guys, trust me the Fairholmes car park on the map I posted is the correct car park. It does get quite busy there but you can get a coffee while you wait for Big G

Hi everyone....the car park is the MAIN Ladybower Reservoir and is situated just off the bridge as you enter the reservoir. It has cycle hire/food etc and is signposted from the bridge.

Remember, its a 'pay and display' car park, visitors centre and also has a take away cafe: its Fairholms!

How was the ride? Anyone clear Jacob's Ladder?

Thanks BG for a great day out on Sunday.

Every part was good, the pain of the climbs and the bone shaking descents.
We didn't do Jacobs Ladder on Sunday so cant answer your Q Nath.

My legs ache and I keep getting flash backs to the descents, a top day.

When's the next one???

Good ride guys - better weather than last time eh? I loved the winding rocky bit at the beginning.

Great ride everyone It was a little drier than the last trip to the peaks wasn't it.
I had a really good day although I was flagging a bit towards the end.


Less said about the trip back down the M1 the better!
