FNSS Friday 15th August
Anyone up for it? The event is on a farm nr Rugby off J1 of the M6-30 mins from MK (its not in Wolverhampton if you enter Cosford into a directions website! Doh!!
Directions here http://fnss2006.multiply.com/reviews/item/6
It will be a fitting race for Fizz because she will win the FNSS series in the ladies class if she come in the top two so come along to support her even if you don't want to race.
I will be leaving around 5 so if you want a lift I've got room for two with the bikes.
I'm looking forward to it as I hope it will spur my enthusiam to race the entire series next year

Re: FNSS Friday 15th August
no pressure eh Speedy?
It's a course from a previous race where my gears gave up in the mud and met the long grass to make a kind of whattle and dawb effect wrapped around the cassette... my rival sped past as I couldn't get past out of granny. I'm looking forward to this one!

Re: FNSS Friday 15th August
GGggrr!!! *#@*$$*
My PC at work won't let me view FNSS pages. It thinks I'm trying to view something inappropriate, yet it lets me view a website called 'Numplumz'
Can someone post the details/directions directly on the forum or email them to me please. I don't have a home PC.
I'll PM my email address if needed.
Hopefully be there to cheer on and poke sticks in spokes.
Thanks.

Re: FNSS Friday 15th August
PLEASE NOTE the entrance to the course is now just off the A426 dual carriageway as you come off the J1 of M6. Its almost opposite the roundabout by the big ALDI. It will be signposted.
From the M6 junction go straight over the first roundabout then at the second one double back on yourself to return on the otherside of the dual carraigeway and take the Sharp left farm entrance which will be signposted.
You can still get in the old way but the new entrance is easier and not so rough - its sign posted as LODGE FARM and you go over a cattle grid.
Free BEER and Soft Drink for each finisher again............(
Promoter: Rugby Velo, a Pete and Dud promotion.
Contact: Martin Eadon
Parking Info: Difficult entrance if wet, field parking, please shut all gates.
Race Terrain: Short course, very tight and twisty often rooty singletrack within two wooded sections where the riders with good skills can grab lots of time over other riders.
Includes open climbs and descents dependant on direction on the night. Skinny tyres when raining required as is some good balance.
Lap Length: About 2 miles but can be for longer with a third wood area.
Misc: Check out the site website at Boyestoys
Directions: From M6 junc 1 head for Rugby and at the 3rd roundabout which is the first big one (signposted Mr Kipling roundabout) take the 3rd exit - Left, and head for SWIFT VALLEY INDUSTRIAL ESTATE.
Take the 2nd or even the 3rd Right (Cosford Lane) and proceed through the Industrial Estate in the Cosford Village direction. At the end of lane roundabout follow the road on the right signposted Cosford.
The Race entrance is via a gate on the Right just on the Sharp LH corner before the village. Proceed down track and over river bridge to the parking area. NOTE: If very wet you might need to leave the vehicles on this side of the river bridge, but the farmer is adding hardstanding all the time.
Proceed with Caution if conditions are wet, and close all gates behind you especially over the river.

Re: FNSS Friday 15th August
Has anyone got room for a person only?
I've decided I'd like to watch but am too chicken to go on my own.
I could borrow my daughters cheerleading pom poms, write GO FIZZ on a banner and even find handy sticks for unwary spokes

Hey Pinky,
Thanks for the support - though you may as well bring your bike and ride along!! It's a good course and really you just have to keep going for the time, not race full out if you don't want to....
Ask Arran or Martin what time they are going?

Hi Pinky,
I'll be heading up from Woodford Halse direction we could meet somewhere if you would like? I'm not riding as I'm dragging the kids along kicking and screaming. Feel free to email me.

Thanks for coming along and supporting and those racing - hope you enjoyed the course. It was good to have a bunch of us on the start line and the VIP gazebo after!
