Re: wot tyres !!!
Jim, have a look at Spesh Resolution pro,s. Used them on the Rough Ride (grass, gravel, mud, rock, roots, wet and dry conditions) and they were mighty impressive. Only 19.99 and they,re folding to.

Re: wot tyres !!!
OK, heres my 2 peneth worth:
Bontrager Mud X are amazing from October - March. Very light, shed mud really easily, and last for a good season. PUST Ready are pretty thin, so you need a fair amount of slime.
I started to run Maxxis LUST Larsen TT tis year. These babies are SO FRIGGIN fast, you feel like you have slicks on. But not great in the wet, a real summer / dry / hard pack tyre.
Schwalbe Nobby Nics. Expensive at £40 a pop, also you need 2.25's as they come us thin. Easy to seal on UST rims. These again are very quick, loads of grip, but simply by riding the 3 miles up to and back from the woods on the road from my house, they are wearing down pretty quick!
Specialised Captain. These were OK, but UST were very very hard to get on the rims, and ended up using loads of sealer ! Cheap though, and super light.
Bought some Maxxis LUST High Rollers in Afan, pretty chuffed with these also, fast rolling for such a high volume tyre, and pretty much bullet proof. Not the lightest though !
So all in all...........go Larsen TTs until X-mas, then get some Bonti Mud X or Trailrakers for the gloop.

Re: wot tyres !!!
got Mud x tubeless for winter, agree its a top notch tyre. shocking the last few visits to the woodland realm in the dry, back just wouldnt hook-up. got a resolution on the front, great in everything so far and gonna try a Bonty Jones AC on the back this weekend. Nath, hope the new member of the welsh assembly is in fine fettle. We had one this time last year, both never aged so quickly. but as one mate said, the architects take all the credit for such a small input, its the navvies who build the things. some kind of metaphor in there I think.
