Re: This Sunday?
Hi Guys,
I'm new to mountain biking in the MK area after relocating a
few years ago. I would like to hook up this Sunday (15th) with you
guys with the prospect of joining the club after receiving
some glowing recommendations!. My fitness is average at best,
so would it be better for me to come along to the 10 or 11am
start?
Regards
Darren

Looks like there's 4 newbies planning to come on Sunday (including me) so there'll be PLENTY of company for walking up the hills and I'm taking shares out in 'elastoplast'

Well that's decided then, I'm booking an ambulance to be on standby (cos some injuries may be caused just getting my bike out the car)

Re: Re: This Sunday?
Can we make it 5 newbies for tomorrow at 10?
I've just bought a shiny new bike and want to put all that money to good use!
I've been a family permit holder at Aspley woods for 2 years now but am ashamed to say I've only been up once to have a look around
Now I've got my new bike that will all change hopefully.
My main concern is that my choice of steed is a Kona Coiler so I guess that shows what type of riding I prefer (aspirational rather than actual ) so is there a lot of leg shaving lycra lads here or is everyone more into having fun?
p.s. my fitness level isn't great so I might be joining the walkers

Hi Wobbler,
We're a mixed bunch. A Kona Coiler is fine around woburn, but it will punish you on the steep uphill and reward you on the downs. There's plenty of people in the club who love steep technical downhill and like climbing!?
Just don't worry about the fitness. The Kona will make you stronger... There's no pride lost in pushing...
