16 seater bike ride for Willen Hospice... 28th June
yes, you read right, a bike for 16 people!
The George Inn has organised a charity bike ride to raise money for Willen Hospice and are looking for volunteers to ride/collect money/be involved.. all for a very good cause.
You'll be riding the giant, 16 people bike from Little Brickhill through the city, threatre district and up to Willen, OR the return jouney ending at the pub. Either way there's a bit of uphill/downhill, though each seat has it's own gears and allows for a certain amount of lazy free-whheling of you're sat at the back..
complete with stereo, air horn and driver, it'll be luxurious. Picture to follow somehow.
The cost of hiring the bike is covered, all money raised will go straight to Willen (aiming to raise +£60 each rider).
Volunteers so far
Caroline (+Danny, but he doesn't know it yet!)
KSM
Phil
Arran
Andy S
Me & Gav
Nath
Join in, be part of it, ... Emma is looking to confirm riders by the end of the week. if you can;t ride, what about sponsoring us..?
(There's also they're one year opening party at the George on Thursday night with fireworks and free buffet) -just like the first night

Excellent,
Iain, you can take Arran's place as he's a bit calendar dyslexic.. The more people the merrier as we have the just full 16, but I'm hoping for swaping with someone along the way!
Emma says everyone riding needs to be at the Geroge for a breifing at 11.45 aiming to arrive at Willen around 2.40 if anyone want's to see us there.
Or, bring you money and see us for a drink after in the sunshine!

Guys, we need you help - 3 people have pulled out of this charity ride and it's not much cop on a 16 seater bike if there are only 13 of you!
It's easy riding, sunny day, all for charity.. we'll even buy you a drink back at the pub.
You'll need to be at the George Inn Little Brickhill for 11.45am breifing - Please let me know if you can come, even for part of the ride..

Re: 16 seater bike ride for Willen Hospice... 28th June
Well done to everyone who rode and Iain and Smeg who came to support us at the off... It was a very different kind of bike ride - hurtling down the A5 slip road was a terrifying introduction to quite an eventful day.
'Super strength Phil' broke his cranks in the first 5 mins, 'Freewheel Mike' became director with on bike camera, Jase, Caroline, Martin, Gav and Andy were the powerhouses of the bike pulling the back half of the bike along.. (there was definately a 'sweat divide')
Apparently we will be in The Citizen sometime this week, so keep an eye out..
Bring your sponsership money to the pub tonight and we will tell you more!
