Prescription riding glasses?
I can't use normal sunglasses with my bad eyesight...
Can anyone recommend some frames and/or online suppliers. I don't know what there is out there, does anyone have any experience of these?
I need something to keep the dirt / wind out of my eyes. What coating(s) would you recommend? Polarising tint?
Thanks

I can only speak for the tint as I wear contacts. I use yellow/orange tint 99% of the time. Great for improving contrast in the shady bits and makes even a dull day seem like the sun is out

Re: Prescription riding glasses?
I don't really get on with contacts something to do with weird lens and astigmatism...
I've never seen frames in a wraparound style at specsavers, maybe I haven't looked properly.
How much is laser eye surgery these days? I did mention it to my other half but I think she would rather spend the cash on boring things like new carpets and windows...

Re: Prescription riding glasses?
It might be worth will having a chat with them at Specsavers as they've really been on the ball...You might find out that they could fit you with some contacts.
As I have a very high Prescription -8.50 in the left and -9.0 in the right.I can't have laser treatment because my eyes are shaped more like a rugby ball,so they would have to "shave" to much off the front of the lens which would cause problems with my night vision.I'm also at a very high risk of detached retina's in both eyes.
or you could try here;
http://www.glassesdirect.co.uk
or even Tesco do prescription sunglasses now.

Re: Prescription riding glasses?
I was sucked in by the adverts saying FROM £350 per eye. It does depend on your prescription. Mine was -4 & -3.50 and cost just over £2,000. I worked out that it would pay for itself after 6 years worth of contact lense and glasses. My night vision has been slightly affected but I can get by.

Re: Prescription riding glasses?
Thanks for the replies, the optilabs look nice. I usually get my glasses from specsavers so I'll speak to them when I get my eyes tested...
