Mountain boards
Has anyone tried mountain boarding?
My kids (3yrs and 4yrs) have got bikes and push scooters. After a session in the park with the scooters I thought I'd quite like a skateboardy type thing or a scooter as a bit of fun to keep up with them. Anyway muchas Googling later mountain boards look like a shed load of fun and can be fitted with brakes.
I can't say that I'd fancy the tricks but trundling down a hill could be a laugh.

Re: Mountain boards
I've had a go........you can do it over by Newport Pgnell.
Its good fun..........but it really hurts when you fall off. Imagine snowboarding.....but no where near as much manouverability........plus the ground it a lot harder!!!
Brakes.........unsure how that would work........I just used my face most of the time !!!

Re: Mountain boards
You can get a replacement truck that has what looks like a miniature setup to the car handbrake system. You get a length of cable and a handle. I've read about hydraulic systems being available as well. Much more preferable to your face!

Re: Mountain boards
Craig, I got a couple of boards if you wanna give it a try. You can do it anywhere but there is a dedicated hill out by Sherington. Pinks used to sell tickets for the hill. PM me if you wanna borrow the boards.

Dude - cheers for the offer but I am up in Birmingham.
Might keep an eye on eBay for a cheap Scrub as it looks like there's loads of spares available for them...
