Re: Scott Spark
Dan's thinking of getting one he tried one out at Evans yesterday. They are light and very nippy the suspension is very responsive and is adjustable at All Travel (110mm), Traction Control (70mm-who needs this?!) and Lockout. Dan thought it went like s~*t off a shovel. The 30 is the only ones left that Evans have and they are reasonably well spected. They climb like goats on speed.

Re: Scott Spark
I've heard they go a bit... I'm only looking at the moment though and I would be obly after the frame. The frame retails for around £1800 over here but I'm sure I can pick one up in the US next time I'm over. Does your crowd sell the frame only?
Re: Scott Spark
Steve,
Thinking of selling my scott scale CR1 frame if you are interested.
2006 medium.
Let me know if you are interested?
Cheers

Re: Scott Spark
Yep, rode one during the week at Evans (thanks Andy) and although only on the redway decided that it would definitely be my next toy.
There seemed to be a small amount of suspension movement when in full travel mode but it didn't seem to translate to the pedals that badly, the traction mode was good and seemed to cure the bobbing - possibly would be the best mode to ride in for most situations.. When locked out the bike just got up and went, absolute lightening acceleration (even with me on board!).
One thing to bear in mind is that having been riding the Nomad for the last year, so most shorter travel bikes will feel responsive to me, but I was really impressed. I think the best bit was the feel, nowhere near as harsh as ally framed bikes.
Just need to work out if I want the '07 30 or a new '08 model now!

Re: Scott Spark
I know what you mean, but I'm pretty sure the Spark shock is a DT Swiss/Scott rebadge/hybrid rather than a Scott shock.
A mate's got a Ransom, nice bike but the shock has blown four times in the year he's had it!

Re: Scott Spark
The ltd version has an integrated seat post, which you cut to your size. Apparently this shaves a little more off the weight, all the other versions/models have the normal seat post set up.
