SITS

Has anybody on here ridden the Sleepless In The Saddle event? Really fancy doing it next year (no chance this year-not ridden in 3 months), and wondered what it was like.

Rich and myself tried to enter the pairs category but didn't get the forms back in time, it fills up quick... so if you are going for it next year then enter early. We are down for the 12 hour dusk till dawn in October, should be a laugh.

Steve, looks like fun but a new son and moving house in Sept mean i,ll not be back riding regulalrly till October/November. Hope you have a blast doing it. Think I,ll be happier in the 5 person mixed team event at SITS, more of a laugh I would think.

Rode as a pair with mate from work two years ago - v. diff. We managed about 12 laps a piece (~ 90miles) - night laps were the best. Get entries in as soon as they come out, ie the same day. Some folk drive to Pat Adams's house and hand deliver!

Heading out tomorrow as part of a mixed team and looking fwd to it - especially after the forecast has improved. Will check back in after the event.

Taking plenty of beer so it should be a good weekend either way.

Pete,hope it all goes well. Think we could probably enter the vets event as a 5 man team. My pals who are interested are over 40, so thats three of us- well over half way there. I,ll pick your brains when you get back next week eh.

Sorry guys you cant have a 5 man team in SITS, it has to be mixed so at least one of you needs to wear a skirt or so I'm told by the winners of the girls pairs.

Tin Tin, sorry, thats what i meant. 4 chaps and a lady, or 3 & 2. The more the merrier. Could be a good laugh. When do the application forms usually come out?
