Cannock Club Ride - Feb 25th
OK Doklie........the next Club ride is on the 25th of Feb at Cannock.
If anyone hasn't ridden at Cannock before, there is a lot to offer. It has one main trail called " Follow The Dog ".........don't worry you don't need to bring your pooches, just the metal weapons!
Check out this link to view the trails etc here
On its own its a fab course, not many climbs, but some good singletrack, a tiny bit of North Shore and some great singletrack and berms to finish.
About one third of the way round we usually leave the FTD trail and head over the road. Last year we rode over to a cafe for some food, and I think this may be the plan this year.
Gav and I are currently discussing routes, so it should be a seamless ride, unlike last September when we managed to end up in someones back garden !!
There is a shop on site (http://www.bikechase.co.uk/) that also hire out Offroad TANDEMS !! Anyone fancy a go !?! They also have DEMO bikes that they hire for £20. Giant Anthems, Trek Fuels, Gary Fishers etc.
So whos in? Lift shares are GO !!
Personally I don't find this topic that hilarious but I'll stick this guy in anyhow!

Re: Cannock Club Ride - Feb 25th
I’ll be there
I rode the chase today; finally got my bike service finished and decided to take it for a spin! The 'Dog' is technically closed due to tree felling but loads of reckless people like me rode it anyway. The trails were dry and fast and only one small section was blocked by trees and with 495 bikers riding it each weekend it wasn’t difficult to find the temporary route and rejoin the trail again. The exposed section that was closed most of last year is open again now. Also the Café is closed until 1st April but the bike shop is selling tea and Sandwiches and there is a snack wagon on site for burgers etc. There is still no lock on the toilet door and the car park has gone up to £1.50

TinTin are you a trail riding, trail venue critic? You should be. There's gotta be a market for your talents something like "TinTin's Good Trail Guide".
Just one small point - how were the burgers and sandwiches?
