Tips for Thetford...

I'm off to Thetford with a couple of buddies to sample the delights of Thetford Forest.

As I've never been there before, has anyone got any friendly advice on the routes, challenges and pitfalls?

Take plenty of money for parking.... It's pay & display if I recall

Hey, I went to Thetford last year and its mostly non-technical riding. The 'black runs' IMHO aren't really black runs but 'The Beast' is quite good fun.

It can be a little boggy in some areas between pits 4 and 7 on the map below - but I am sure you will be fine.

We parked in Brandon Park but you have to pay there - I am sure there can be places to park where to dont have to pay. However, the tea in the cafe at the end of the day was fantastic!!

The red route at Thetford is a lot more fun than the black there is time to do both though.



Make sure you don't park at highlodge will cost you silly money for the whole day!

Thanks for the tips guys, we had a great time.

We managed to do the red route and the black route twice. I even surprised myself by getting round The Beast twice without falling off, although one my friends wasn't quite so lucky!
