Yes....hard to believe....but I rode in the rain and mud !!
Venue was Mnt Pinos, NW of L.A. The place is unreal, not a ski resort, just one of the State parks. Scenery is breath taking, I think the highest point was 9500ft. We basically rocked up with 2 ferkin great trucks (lots of those going spare over here as you can imagine) and shuttled to the top for 4 runs down. 8.5 miles of chunk, kickers and really quick ST. I actually loved riding in the rain the last run down....the rest of the riders were crying like babies....pics below:
We had a couple of guys on DH rigs, but AM 6" travel bikes were the flavour of the day. Such a perfect place to test out tyres, technique and set up your bike.
This guy was on a Canfield Jedi This bike was flippin awesome. Industry 9 hubs, Saint everywhere, Acid Codes, Zocki 888Tis.....a $10k bike. It just looked like he'd covered himself in glue and ran through some boutique bike shop !! Plus an $800 helmet to boot.....he was a drug dealer I think. (He was posing for the camera also, he wasn't actually that bad a rider he couldn't keep his feer glued to his pedals !)
Check out the rain in the background
If only it was taken a second later !
Follow my lead......
Not quite sure what I was doing there !?!
Mucky pup !!
We all did a pretty nice 6ft'r and the girl on the left did it first and landed the furthest into the transition.....plus pretty darn hard to keep up with.
Ooohh Gold Yashimaaaaaaa......think the bike shrunk in the rain though !?
Nice !!

After (I managed to snap my bars clean off !!)
Literally the last run of the day, the heavens opened !!
Best pic of the day
