Snow...
...forecast for Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
Should make for a fun ride on Sunday morning, even if it's only a light dusting!

Re: Snow...
Yay!!
Last time it snowed I went out on my bike that night and it was great. The fresh snow was suprisingly grippy.
Not so much fun after it turned to slush and then froze again though.
Looking forward to it.

Re: Snow...
Looks like the snow will still be with us for Sunday, if not a little bit more.
Really looking forward to it, the ride just before Christmas was great and good to see so many people out in the snow.
Woody, are you bringing your new flying machine with the funky front wheel again?

Re: Snow...
Just back from a blat around the local trails. I thought I'd covered up well, but forgot about my face. My lips were so numb I couldn't talk.
Great fun out there but it feels like cycling through loose sand. If this carries on I'm going to cut the back off an excavator and turn my bike into a military halftrack...

Re: Snow...
Bit of helmet cam footage from last weekend. Not brilliant quality and for some reason the mic wasn't picking up any sound so I slapped some background tunes in there, apologies if not to your taste

Couple of little spills in there and finishes with a snowy rollercoaster for the last couple of mins. It all looks disappointingly slow on film doesn't it?
edit: actually let me see if I can embed...

Re: Snow...
Excellent vid Jase_mk what cam are you using? I did my first upload of a vid from my iphone at the weekend, was at the same place on your vid around 4.50mins https://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v702/toecutterjob/?action=view¤t=IMG_0022.flv
And was thinking of getting a helmet cam

Re: Snow...
It's not a standalone bullet cam like the new ones you see now, it just gives a video feed to anything with an AV input, so I have it plugged into a regular camcorder in my bag. Bit of a faff but I bought it years ago for track days and racing so the bulk wasn't much of an issue. Lots of nice little compact cams about now that look ideal and much better for MTB duties.
