marin dusk till dawn

hi guys

have entered the dusk till dawn at thetford in couple weeks , just wondered if anyone had any hints or tips for the night ?

regularly ride night rides up woods and over dunstable way so thats not problem , just wondered if anyone has done it before and what kinda riding thetford is ?

im in team of 3 aswell

hi,

I've done a couple of team 24 hour events and the main things are:

• to agree on your team goals (if 2 of you want to win and the 3rd just wants to complete and have fun you're likely to argue)
  
• to have an idea of how long each person's lap takes so you aren't waiting for 15 mins when you can be at the change over point 5 mins before the expected time (2 way radios are quite good for calling change overs if you've got them)
  
• be warm - it gets chilly overnight even at this time of year. Expect to be cold whilst waiting and take your warm stuff!
  
• take whatever spares of everything you have. It's amazing how many gear cables, cassettes and other fairly critical components (it's wheel bearings for me normally) chose to go when you'd really rather they didn't
  
• above all, make sure nothing on your bike is irritating you - irritating on a 90 min ride is 1 thing, irritating on a dusk 'til dawn is really distracting!

last year we had a team that went down to thetford 4 the dust 2 dawn
when all it did is rain most of the nigth os good luck i hope you do well
i have put up all the date 4 gorrick ( swinley forist. look out ) so all rider can have a look the more the marrieyer i hope to see you down there
