Looking at the Chasetrails forum it appears the Monkey Trail is closed until Phase 2 has been completed.....................but Follow The Dog is fully open.

Monkey trail closed? Its a long way to go for a few laps of follow the dog

Guess Im luckly to be working

I may venture up there anyway but it used to be my local ride and I may have a Wales option on the cards... hopefully will see you there!

i have a friend who is going to tag along and he know

the other side like the back of his hand

and their are lots of trails which are

fast/flowing single tracks

that will make up for the monkey trail not being open

still hoping for a good turn out

me and girlfriend (sarah) is coming i'm going to do one ride with u guys then do one ride with sarah she is still learning the ropes

I,ve been in contact with Case Trails and explined the situation, that we are going up to CC and wand to ride thr Monkey Trail...

Their reply is as follows; Officially the trail has never been closed or open as it is not a way-marqued trail "as yet"... so yes it can be riden...!!!!

However, it's the Phase Two of the monkey that's closed.

Lets give Jim a good turn out ( I know he's been looking forward to it! )
