Chainsets
Hi all!
Need to replace my drivechain now, as my chainsuck problems are pretty bad.
So, new chainset, chain, cassette, and jockey wheels I reckon.
1st up is the chainset. What do people recommend? Bearing in mind my frame is 12 years old, what will fit? Also, not willing to spend too much. Afterall, the orriginal has lasted 12 years, and it wasn't a particuarly good one!
I'm seeing external bottom brackets and stuff, but the BB is fine, so don't need to replace it.
Just something cheap, and 8 speed compatible. Does my choice of chainset influence the type of chain I need?
Cheers guys!
ETA: I've seen these two:

I take it I'm looking for a 'JIS Square Tapered' one to fit my old bottom bracket?

Re: Chainsets
Just make sure you get an 8 speed chain.
Check out Merlin cycles as they normally have good deals on chain & cassette packages.
Might be worth checking out ebay for a new chainset as places like the Wooly Hat Shop often sell new ones on there cheap.
