Re: Rider needed for Dusk 2 Dawn
Results are up!
http://www.timelaps.co.uk/assets/uploads/EventReport.aspx?eventID=37
15th out of 62 3 man teams
It looks like my crawling around for that last lap gained us 2 places . Me thinks I might need some mud tires!

Re: Rider needed for Dusk 2 Dawn
Great work lads!!! Woody got the quickest lap the timings are clearly wrong!!!
Woody-a legend with the tent, gazebo and the cooking what an asset to a team-don't let anyone ever put you down bud. A man born ready for anything!!!
Aaron your final lap did the honours dude at least you had the light!! I'd like to think you would have moved us up another 5 places if you hadn't stopped to talk to the female race marshalls!!! I know we were all sleep deprived but that army cadet was under age and over weight! I thought she was a rock covered in a camo jacket on my last lap!
Probably won't do that in a hurry again one a year and hopefully in the summer!
I can reccomend a massage at 4 in the morning-cramp free riding!
Next up Winter Series-here I come!!!
Aaron-could I have my head light back plse
Woody-have you got my bike mags?

Re: Rider needed for Dusk 2 Dawn
I was hoping not to do that final lap and the course was absolutely ruined by that point. I think with a bit more work we could have potentially made it closer to 10th place.
It might also have helped if the mud hadn't warn away my front breaks, clogged up my dérailleurs, my tires had traction and probably more importantly I was fitter! Plus it would have been rude not to stop and chat.
My reaction at the time was that I would never volunteer for D2D again, tho id does feel good to have done it and I'm starting to think of what I could have done better, so give it until sign up time next year and we will see what happens. I think I'm due a mountain bike event where it doesn't chuck it down.
I have your light and I'll bring it to club night tonight!

Re: Rider needed for Dusk 2 Dawn
Well done guys, that's an excellent result -
Sounds like it was a bit of a slog in places, and I don't envy you with the mud..
Glad I wasn't there to slow you down!
