SHAVED LEGS BRIGADE! In the North West

HI EVERYONE!

NOW I`M BACK FROM FRANCE HAVING NEGATED MONT VENTOUX, THE COL DU GALIBIER & ALP D'UEZ I WOULD JUST LIKE REMIND ALL OF THOSE WHO HAVE GONE OVER TO THE DARK SIDE TO A LITTLE RIDE IN DERBYSHIRE.

PLANNED FOR;

SUNDAY 7 OCTOBER.

STARTING AT THE CAT & FIDDLE. ON THE MACCLESFIELD TO BUXTON ROAD.

START TIME 10 A.M.

IT IS INTENDED TO BE A NICE GENTLE JAUNT AROUND THE PICTURESQUE COUNTRYSIDE OF CHESHIRE & DERBYSHIRE TAKING IN A CAFE AND A FEW HILLS.

INTENDED MILEAGE: 40-50 APPX!!

THERE IS A NUMBER OF YOU WHO HAVE ALREADY EXPRESSED AN INTEREST SO COULD YOU PLEASE CONFIRM YOU CAN ATTEND AND I WILL BE ABOUT CLUB NIGHT NEXT WEEK TO TOT UP NUMBERS!! I WILL ALSO BE RECOVERING FROM THE G.N.R FROM THAT PREVIOUS W/E SO MUCH BEER WILL BE NEEDED!!!

Well I'm back from Switzerland and the 'Eiger MTB Challenge route' including Gross Scheldegg at 6350 ft and Kleine Scheldegg 6698 Ft. Ok so didnt quite finish it (ran out of time) but was a great challenge to ride accross the front of the North face of the Eiger and up into the snow. Did about 55K of the 88K route but the hills were soooo long, it was 27C at the bottom and -2C at the top. Used up a set of break pads comming down. I would like to go back in August 08 and do the race for real but its way out of my league

Thats what I wish my hair was like. Don't be fooled by Big Gav's leisurely ride of 50-60 miles, its bloody hilly around there unless he's going to the Cheshire plains

Don't you worry I well aware of BG's little road trips and what they entail.

I shall take both my climb/suffering legs.

Have also fitted new brake pads and ordered a compact
chainset !
