Talgath Black backwards
An Mtbbritain forum ride in the black mountains. We done a version of the Talgath black route but going the other way round.
We started at the Mynydd Du Forest and climbed up towards Y Dâs which I can honesty say is the most scary descent I have ever done rocks, drops, barbed wire fence on one side then really deep ruts nearer the bottom, there were quite a few bits I had to walk
A bit of a road work then abit of a push up the next bit then a really good grassy descent through the ferns and through a ford, then a traverse along to another monster of a climb.
We all have a bit of rest at the top while trying to keep the sheep away from our food.
The next descent was long and grassy but quite shallow but with just a bit of pedaling it was really good fun and really fast!
Back onto some road then picked up another bridle way with another big push up then a ride across the top to the Mynydd Du Forest. The descent in the forest was the 2nd most scary descent I have done it was really eroded rocky lots of trees and very dark . It was abit like the chute on Mach 3 trail but steeper, muddier, with with baby head sized boulders. Some of the people I was with also rode some of the downhill course but I whimped it, I need a bigger bike!
A really fantastic day but really hard work very technical descent, steep climbs a bit like a merida but with no feed stations, Iwould like to try it in the other direction as well

Don't worry Speedy, without photographic evident your foolishly written admission will not stick.

I think this could be the Sunday ride Graham!!! I imagine Daz will want to do something else though there is soooo many options I need to get myself organised with navigation now.
