Ive had sintered pads in mine for the winter but have changed back to the normal ones now

I had tried quite a few different makes all seam ok apart from the fibrax ones they are Shocked shocking! firstly they don't fit properly (there isn't room for the spring clip( had to file the edge of the friction material), the disk locating tab isn't in the right place ( had to cut it off to get them to fit my front brake) and they just feel awful!

I 'm probaly going to stick to buying goodridge or avid ones from now unless Im told otherwise

ps Ive got some fribrax pads for sail Razz

For Avid brakes Goodridge seem to get the best reviews.

As Darren says, people normally recommend sintered for winter and the other type for summer, I just use sintered all year round!

Goodridge Sintered always!!
you will find riding in the sandy woods too much for the normal ones and will dissapear within no time at all.

Chambo, I have always used metal (sintered) pads throughout the winter and resin pads through the summer. The resin pads are a lot stronger and sharper, if you keep them dry !!! But as soon as they are wet, they are pretty weak.

Since November I have been running both. Resin on one side and metal on the other, and they've had lasted pretty well.

I've tried most. I know that the Shimano pads are made by Goodridge, so there is no difference there.

Bought some Hope Gold pads for the Mono Mini's just after X-mas, and the rears lasted about 6 weeks !!!
