GRIZDALE ride 2013

hi one and all i will be doing a ride around easter at the Lake distret i KNow it a long way off but i will start booking the Log cabing /camping in the New year . the date i am Looking at is 24 march to the 1 April and the good friday is on 30..
so if you not want to do the week you can do the Long weekend with Plans to do one of the stains and Grizdale forest as well as the Lakes,,,,

Log Cabing / Pod
We have six camping pods available set in our woodlands. The Pods are hired out at £30 per night and can sleep max 4 persons. Their is a minimum of 2 night stays at weekends.

What is a pod?

Well it's a rather well built, insulated wooden hut that provides basic accommodation much in the way of a tent. They are of a modest size with good headroom, an interior floor area some eight feet wide by nine feet long and a forward projecting porch to provide some shelter if the doors are open. Our Pods have a raised area of timber decking extending the 'living area' and providing somewhere to sun-bathe, prepare food or when the weather is bad, lose the wet gear before going inside.
The POD is designed to be comfortable - the roofing material is designed to cut down the noise of heavy rain. The window and lockable French doors are double glazed to reduce condensation and provide sound insulation. The wood used in the construction is a naturally 'warm' material but to provide extra winter warmth we have installed sheep's wool insulation inside the walls while a special foil layer under the roof helps keep summer temperatures in check. There is a small, high level window in the back wall this not only provide light but will help keep the living space well ventilated and aid 'through draft' on hot summer days.

Just like camping but without the Tent!

PS by the way the Bike Parks is about 2mile down the road and the is a good bike shop there.

Hi i am als think f doing a nother cannck chass ride in 2013 as there has been some more intrest in a ride up there as so riders miss the Last one... this allderpends on intrest for this in 2013...
