I'm in, Gwenda possibly depending on fitness level of group. She doesn't want to hold group up.

Hi Martin, It's not a race and it's open to all. We will ride at the pace of the slowest rider. Gwenda is welcome!

  • Follow signs to Bracknell
  • The Look Out Discovery Centre is opposite Coral Reef - look out for the brown signs 3 miles from Bracknell Town Centre

Gwenda and I had a great day out. A big thank you to Tim for his guiding and for caring for our fallen rider.
Lots of smiles were had despite the rain, hail and mud.

Virgil, has your ankle doing?

Re: SWINLEY FOREST - Revisited - SUNDAY 22 APRIL 2012

Martin, my badly sprained ankle turned out to be broken. After driving home Sunday and going to work Monday, I went to A&E Monday night after my ankle turned a funny colour. My little fall broke my outer ankle bone into three pieces.

I was supposed to have it pinned and plated today, but it was postponed due lack of room in the OR. I should see if I can get digital copies of the before and after X-rays and post them on here.

Thanks to everyone for helping me out with shoulders to lean on, pushes up hills, drugs to ease the pain and moral support. A special thanks to Tim for initially leading the group, but also for looking after me and administering the all-important initial first-aid.

And thanks to Gilly for pointing out that i'm in the lead for the FUBAR award Embarassed

Hopefully I'll be back out soon...
