Rushmere...
Are the new trails at rushmere worth the drive over(i live 35 miles away),or should i just stick to woburn ?

Ive only been over there the once followed the signs and it all got a bit confusing so check the map of trails, it sort of doubles back on its self at one point and its not that long. Its quite steep and interesting in places but as I said before not that long Im sure some cheeky trails will appear soon if not already as its a while since I have been over there.
Just ride there from woburn as you would to get to the cafe but turn right as if you were heading for the trek trail if you look at the map it sort of links up to the trek trail anyway.

According to the ranger at Stockgrove Park you will require a seperate permit to that used in Woburn woods. Although both schemes are run by the Greensands Trust, the land owners are different (duke of Bedford and MKCouncil I think). From the map he gave me it looks like it is just the Trek trail with another unfinished route that doesn't link to anything particular

link to the map for Rushmere - also tells you which bits you need to pay on and which are free!

From my discussion with the rangers at stockgrove the oak wood permit (which you have by being a cyclone member) covers Rushmere.
