| OK, so I had my first 'real' exprience of off-road riding today up at Chicksands. (along with my first SPD related spill!  )
The Specialized Rockster types that came with my (second-hand) Rockhopper seem to be woefully inadequate.
So I would like some recommendations please for the best tyres to use at, say, Chicksands and Woburn Sands. |

| You can't go wrong with a pair of Bonti Mud X or Panaracer Firx XC Pro.
Good all year round.
Or if you are feeling flush, go Continental Vert Pro's.

I managed to hook up with one of the MTB'rs at work, another work MTBr has a lightly used pair of Panaracer XC's, so I said I'd bung him a few quid and take them off his hands. |
