After breaking the pin off one of the pistons on my rear caliper I've managed to disassemble the caliper replace the piston and re assemble it. I have now just pent 2 hours trying to bleed my rear break with very little success (apart from redecorating a corner of the garage with break fluid, when the tube kept popping off the caliper valve :S). I now have no air coming out of either end of the system, yet the handle is still going back to the bar and the pistons are not moving Evil or Very Mad. Any tips help or advice would be greatly appreciated Smile.

Step by Step idiots guide here:

CLICKY CLICKY

There are little nooks in the resevoirs AND calipers on Hayes brakes, so make sure you continuously tap both of them with a spanner to release all the air.

But if you lever goes all the way in, there is still air in there. Keep going.

ok, so I've managed to get some more air out and the pistons are now moving a little (not enough but progress), however the bleed kit bottle has now developed a hole :S. this really shouldn't be this difficult! Know anywhere I can obtain a similar bottle (or a syringe would be a good idea). Thanks!

right sorted it all out, the squeezy bottle you get in the bleed kit is useless! If you ever have to bleed a hayes 9 break go and buy a syringe! bleeding your breaks will then take about 5 minutes and be a walk in the park.
