I know that quite a few members have got road bikes so would anybody be up for a regular club road ride?

Meeting venue and route to be agreed.

Perhaps on Saturday so it doesn't interfere with the Sunday rides? AM or PM?

I want to up the fitness levels this (well next) year and doing a regular road ride would help.

Any takers? Gav, Paul, Si, Dave, Brian etc?

Yeah i'd be up for that, need to get the mileage in as doing the
Etape du Dales in May. I can only do every other Saturday, but its a start

I'm up for a bit roadie action. Also need to get the miles in for some of the Endurance Events (Merida, Gorrick etc), so may even ride over to MK from Harpenden. Let us know details.

Anyone got any suggestions to a meeting point then? Somewhere central to us all would be useful.

Shall we aim for Saturday 6th Jan for the first ride?

How about Willen Lake as the meeting point. I'm not sure I can do that weekend yet but I was going to try and get out this Saturday if anyone was up for it

Kick Stand Mike said he was interested, but was also worried about his fitness, explained that it'll be like a Sunday ride and no-one will get left behind, with riding on the road you can just draft someone and still keep up

Lycra = yes
Peaks on helmets = no
Camelbak's = no
baggies = no
overshoes = yes

And if we encounter any mtbers and anyone acknowledges them, they'll be suspended from the club with immediate effect Laughing
