Numbers for Brecon Beacons Trip 22-25 August   Wed Apr 16, 2008 10:03 am Hi Guys, I have booked 14 places at the Castle Inn in Talgarth www.thecastleinn.co.uk near Brecon and some great ride locations. Steve the landlord is a knowledgeable keen rider and is happy to point us in the right direction. There is a bunkhouse for 6 and a room for 4, preferably for the ladies. Prices are £15 or £21pppn depending on where you will sleep. They give you a good idea of the routes across all of the Brecon Beacons, though you will need to take a proper OS map & compass too. (an A5 sheet for a 40k route is hard to read in detail). The Castle inn at pengethffodd is close to parts of the Talgarth routes so you can miss out the lowland bits and avoid the metropoliss ofTalgarth! You will need to bring a sleeping bag/duvet and pillowcases, or easier; pillows There are camping options available on-site.
