Unofficial scotland
Evening all
Well I can't make the offical trip north of the boarder this year and as I missed out last year too I had to do something about it.
So if anyone wants to join me in taking a chance on the weather it can't be any worst than the summer so far can it? ( but no midges and no kids ) Im heading to Scotland for 6 nights from Monday 5th October.
Accommodation is booked for upto 6 people in the following places.
Monday Tuesday and Wednesday nights here http://www.mountainbikeapartments.com/
Just down the road from Glentress and on doorstep of innerliethen trails.
Something different for Thursday Friday and Saturday night, Wooden tents. 250mts from dalbettie trails
http://www.gorsebank.com/gorsebank_equestrian/Gorsebank_Wigwams.html
I have booked 2 wigwams. There is bike storage plus a kitchen and dining area if it rains, if it doesn't theres a BBQ for each wigwam.
Pillows and sleeping bags required for this one.
I have arranged for Monday 5th to Sunday 11th October as I am in Wrexham for the weekend 3-4th October for mine and my nieces christening
(Ive got to be christened to be her godfather)
So I maybe riding Llandegla on Saturday 3th October.

Hi Daz
Would have been tempted but I can't get time off work that early in the month. The Mountain Bike Appartments look great don't they, they were booked up when I was looking for August. We must get in there earlier next year!

Re: Unofficial scotland
sounds interesting. Once I've sorted out what I'm doing for the summer (hopefully happening over the weekend) I'll be able to be more definite.

I realy hope so, its due to be shipped from USA end of August and I've told them I'm coming to pick it up on the 15th September so I might get a chance to ride it once before Scotland.

Re: Unofficial scotland
hi all... I was a 'maybe', now I'm a 'no'.
I hit the ground thumb-first from the slowest, most ridiculous fall ever which means i'm a roadie for at least a month now
hope to be out and about soon.

Well Speedy last week was ace and I'm pleased to say the Jocks have not been idle in the last year and have maintained and improved many of the already sweet trails.
I notice there are still places available so come on Ladies and Gentlemen book up.
