The Etape Du Dales

Over the last few months I have been putting in some training for the toughest `Sportive` in the country, namely the Etape Du Dales.

Some of you were kind enough to sponsor both myself and Julia; Julia having completed the London Marathon a month earlier in 4hrs 10mins.

The Etape is 110 miles, 13,000ft of climbs and is held in one of the most rigorous places in the country to ride a bike, passing the highest pubs in the UK and the longest descent.

You`ll be pleased to know that we, and Smegger, completed the event this weekend so I shall be looking to collect the money soon.

Our times are as follows;

JULIA : 9hrs 14mins

GAVIN: 7hrs 51mins

This is the toughest cycling event I have ever tried having managed to burn 7300 calories and getting cramp like I have never experienced before.....If you ever want something to test you...This is the one!!!
